What to expect

A down-to-earth photography and wellbeing workshop, tailored for your team, packed full of creative challenges and inspiration.

Understand the thought-provoking science behind creative and wellbeing practices, including why and how small actions bring long-lasting benefits – and how photography can boost both your wellbeing and creativity.

Participants will be supported to develop their own aesthetic style – and to take photos with feeling. Alongside, they’ll develop their own personalised stress-reduction toolkit.

Designed for any level of photography experience, participants simply need a phone or camera.

Participants can expect to complete the sessions feeling refreshed, brimming with ideas, and equipped with practical, effective ways to reduce stress.

About Gemma

I’m Gemma — photographer, creativity and wellbeing mentor, and the host of JOY workshops.

My photography has taken me around the world, working with non-profits and UN agencies on humanitarian crises, health, wellbeing and human rights. Work that has been featured by TIME, NYT, The Guardian, BBC and lifestyle mags and exhibited at arts and photo festivals.

JOY workshops grew from the creative wellbeing practices that have kept me grounded throughout demanding work, which also resulted in my first book, The Leopard Print Portraits.

Combining photography and wellbeing practices has always been my way to reduce stress, refresh and reset.
I designed these workshops to support your team to do the same.
