Jaimie, Rachel and Agnes are the three fearless women in my photographs showing at Festival Pil’ours this summer (8 Jul- 31 August 2018) , as part of the ShutterHub ‘Because We Can!’ exhibition.

Festival Pil’ours is an annual international festival of photography showcasing the work of female-identifying photographers from around the world.

The ShutterHub exhibition that I’m proud to be part of is celebrating 100 years of women having the right to vote in Britain.
As curator, Karen Harvey says:

Throughout the years we’ve all benefited enormously from the revolutionary courage of those women. The inspiring and tireless work of many women and men, for women’s rights continues to this day.

That’s why I submitted photos of courageous women that I’m inspired by, who are continuing that fight.

Jaimie is the runner-up of Miss Transgender UK 2017/18; Rachel is a proud transgender woman and sex worker, who founded a community organisation promoting the rights of sex workers in Namibia; and Agnes was the first female Maasai safari guide in the Maasai Mara.
